33, 6.2 Organization (continued) 6.2.2 Facility Staff

a. Each on-duty shift shall be composed of at least the minimum shift crew composition shown in Table 6.21.
b. At least one person qualified to stand watch in the control room i (a CERTIFIED FUEL HANDLER or an Equipment Operator) shall be I present in the control room when irradiated fuel is in the spent fuel pool,
c. An individual qualified in radiation protection procedures
  • shall be on site during fuel handling operations.
d. All fuel handling operations or movement of loads over the storage racks containing fuel shall be observed and directly supervised by a CERTIFIED FUEL HANDLER who has no other concurrent ,

responsibilities during this operation.

e. Administrative procedures shall be developed and implemented to limit the working hours of facility staff who perform functions important to the safe storage and handling of irradiated fuel, j
f. The Shift Hanager shall be a CERTIFIED FUEL HANDLER.
