SUBJECT:
HADDAM NECK PLANT. EVALUATION OF CRACKS AND FLAW INDICATIONS IN THE HADDAM NECK PRESSURIZER (TAC NO. 75526)
By letters dated June 29 and July 5,1990, the Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company (CYAPCO) submitted for staff review the results of their inspection i
and analysis of cracks and flaw indications in the Haddam Neck pressurizer.
The staff has concluded that CYAPC0 has satisfactorily resolved all the flaw indications identified during the pressurizer _ inspections.
In accordance with IWB-3142.4, components accepted for continued service based on analytical evaluation shall be reexamined during the next-'three inspection periods. The Lresults of the reexaminations and the analytical reevaluation incorporating those results should be submitted for NRC review prior to resumption of reactor operation for the next three operating cycles.
A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
