Mr. Dennis K. Rathbun Director, Office of Congressional Affairs Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C.
20555
Dear Mr. Rathbun:
.I was recently contacted by one of my constituents, Mary-i Ellen Marucci, who expressed some concerns about spent fuel at decommissioned nuclear plants.
Specifically, my constituent pointed out that Connecticut Yankee sits on a fault line.
My constituent has questioned who will be responsible for the spent fuel pools when the plant is sold.
In addition, she is interested in the financing intentions, whether the Department of Energy will be involved in administrative management functions, and what states' rights issues are involved with respect to this plant.
I would appreciate it if.you would provide me with a response which addresses the concerns which my constituent has i
raised.
