This letter refers-to the routine safety inspection of activities authorized by
NRC License No. DPR-16 conducted by Mr. C. Amato of this office on July 31 to-
August 4,1989, at 'your Haddam Neck Plant, Haddam, Connecticut. Discussions of
.our findings were held by Mr. .Amato with Mr.- D. Miller and other members of your
staff at the conclusion of. the inspection.
. Areas examined during this inspection.are described in the NRC Region I
. Inspection' Report which is enclosed with this . letter. Within these areas,
the. inspection consisted of selective er. amination of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel and inspection of emergency
response. facilities.
