The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.120 to Facility OperatingL

. -License No. DPR-61 for the Haddam Neck Plant, in response to your application fdated April 14, 1989 with supplemental information provided June 16, 1989.

The amendment changes : Technical Specifications 3.17.1, " Axial Offset" and 3.17.2,'" Linear . Heat Generation Rate" to allow coastdown operation of the Haddam Neck Plant' at the end of Cycle 15.

We have reviewed the proposed changes and supporting evaluation and have concluded that coastdown operation for the Haddam Neck Plant at the end of

Cycle 15 is acceptable.-

A copy of' the related. Safety Evaluation is also enclosed.' The Notice of

' Issuance will be' included in the' Commission's bi-weekly Federal Register notice.
