Dear Sirs:
As requested in Section 4.0 of the Commission's July 1987 Safety Evaluation of the RancL Seco Onsite Meteorology Program, the District has prepared magnetic tape which contains meteorological data for the first quarter of 1988.
The tape has been prepared in the recommended format in Appendix A of Section 2.3.3 of NUREG-0800, Revision 2, as follows:
o 9-track, EBCDIC o Record Length - 160 characters o Block Size - 3,200 characters o Density - 1,600 BPI The joint data recoveries for 10-meter wind speed and wind direction, and temperature difference between the 10- and 60- meter levels for the first quarter of 1988 were 92%. This data recovery efficiency meets the 90%
statistical representativeness criterion identified in Regulatory Guide
