Attention: George Knighton Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station is currently in the Cold Shutdown Operational Mode.
The District plans to defuel the reactor and is proceeding toward closure of the facility. Given the District's current plans for Rancho Seco, the concerns addressed in Generic Letter 89-08 are not appli. cable. Prior to placing Rancho Seco in the Heatup-Cooldown Operational Mode in preparation for a return to power operations, Generic Letter 89-08 will be reviewed for applicability and appropriate written correspondence provided to the NRC.
