Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attn: Document Control Desk Hashington, DC 20555 Docket No. 50-312 Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station License No. DPR-54 NRC BULLETIN NO. 89-01: FAILURE OF WESTINGHOUSE STEAM GENERATOR 106E MECHANICAL PLUGS Attention: George Knighton In response to the subject Bulletin, Rancho Seco personnel reviewed plant records to provide the information required by Actions Requested, item 1.
This review verified that no Westinghouse steam generator tube mechanical plugs from the heats specified in the Bulletin are in use in the Once Through Steam Generators (OTSGs) at Rancho Seco.
Furthermore, no Westinghouse mechanical plugs of any type are in use at Rancho Seco.
Based on the absence of Westinghouse mechanical plugs in the OTSGs at Rancho Seco, the additional Actions Requested in the Bulletin are not applicable.
