Transmittal of Supplement 2 to Revision 1 of the Licensing Report on High Density Racks NRC Docket Nos. 50-254/265 Reference (a): T. J. Rausch letter to H. R. Denton dated June 24, 1981 (transmittal of Rev. 1 Licensing Report).

Dear Mr. Denton:

Enclosed is Supplement 2 to Revision 1 of the report prepared by Joseph Oat Corporation for Commonwealth Edison entitled

" Licensing Report on High Density Spent Fuel Racks for Quad Cities Units 1 and 2". This supplement provides revised sections 5 and 8, which should be inserted into the book provided in Reference (a).

Section 5, rhermal Hydraulic Considerations, now includes the fuel heat generation calculations (part 5.1) and the results of the pool thermal hydraulic analyses (part 5.2.2).

Section 8, Radiological Consequences, now contains additional information and operating experiences concerning radionuclide concentrations in spent fuel pool water and fuel pool radiation levels.
