Georgia Power Company informed Mr. Virgil Brownlee of the NRC on July 6,1981, of a potential reportable <ieficiency concerning assumptions used in modeling the load transfer from crossover leg support to the containment base slab.

Georgia Power Company is still analyzing this condition to determine its reportability under 10CFR50.55(e) and Part 10CFR21. It is expected that the engineering evaluation will be completed by September 1, 1981, and that a final report concerni the above-referenced item will be submitted by September 25, 1981.

This report contains no proprietary information and may be placed in the NRC public document room upon receipt.
