Vogtle Electric Generating Plant - Unit 2; 50-425 Raychem Field Splice Kits On June 1,1988 Mr. C. W. Hayes, Vogtle Quality Assurance Manager, notified Mr. Charles Patterton, USNPC-Region 11, of a potentially reportable condition as defined by the repon hg requirements of 10CFR50.55(e).
This condition involved misapplication of vendor criteria in the selection of some material used in the electrical cable field splite kits.
An investigation is in process to determine the full scope of this condition.
Georgia Power's final report on this issue is scheduled to be submitted i
to the NRC prior to November 23, 1988.
