Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-416 and 50-417 License No. NPF-29 Permit No. CPPR-119 Proposed Amendments to the Operating License and Construction Permit AECM-86/0344 On September 2, 1986, in separate documents, Mississippi Power & Light Company (MP&L), on behalf of MP&L, System Energy Resources, Inc. (SERI), formerly Middle South Energy, Inc., and South Mississippi Electric Power Association (collectively " Joint Licensees"), submitted applications to amend the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Facility Operating License No. NPF-29'and the Unit 2 Construction Permit No. CPPR-119. The application requested that the operating license and construction permit be amended to reflect transfer of control and performance of licensed activities from MP&L to SERI.

Pursuant to NRC regulations and practice, MP&L, as the existing Licensee, hereby consents to the amendment application filed on behalf of the Joint Licensees, under oath and affirmation, by O. D. Kingsley, Jr., Vice President, Nuclear Operations of MP&L. MP&L consequently also consents to the requested amendments and to the transfer of control of GGNS Units 1 and 2 to SERI.
