The Sacramento Municipal Utility District reported that the B&W small break analysis. had not been based on the worst break location in Reportable Occurrence Report 78-4, dated June 14, 1978. At that time the District committed to providing your office with a follow up report upon completion of the B&W analysis and acceptance therof by NRC.
B&W completed their analysis and submitted the report to NRC in a letter dated July 18, 1978.
The District submitted a request for authorization for operation of Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station Unit No. I at 100% full power based upon that analysis and a requested change to Rancho Seco Unit 1 Technical Specifications No. 58, dated July 13, 1978.
On July 20, 1978, the District received authorization for 100%
full power operation per a telecon from J. Zwetzig to D. Raasch. This would indicate NRC staff acceptance of the B&W analysis as well as the Dist ricts Technical Specification change, which should closecut this reportable occurrance number 78-4.
