RANCHO SEC0 NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION-REACTOR TRIP SYSTEM RELIABILITY ITEMS 4.2.1 AND 4.2.2 0F GENERIC LETTER 83-38 In our letter dated December 17, 1985, we stated that we found your positions on Items 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 of Generic Letter 83-38 acceptable provided that you confirm that when you measure the roller rivet-armature clearance in the undervoltage trip (UVT) device, the UVT is down in the energized position.

By letter dated March 11, 1986, you provided the requested confirmation. We find this acceptable. Tiiis completes items 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 of Generic Letter 83-38 for Rancho Seco.
