Dear Mr. Gannis:

This is in further response to your letter dated August 4, 1986, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), seven categories of records concerning radiation.

Concerning category 1 of your letter, basic information is contained in semi-annual effluent release reports submitted by each operating reactor licensee.

Such records are on file in the NRC's Public Document Room (PDR), filed under appropriate docket numbers for inoividual operating reactor licensees.

Concerning category 2, this information is contained in semiannual Environmental Operating Reports submitted on the Davis-Besse plant, Docket No. 50-346, and filed in the PDR. Also, enclosed Appendix B identifies additional records in the PDR.

Concerning category 3, refer to enclosed Appendix C which identifies records in the PDR. -

Concerning category 5, refer to enclosed Appendix D, which identifies records in the PDR.

Concerning category 6, refer to the records listed on enclosed Appendix E. Note that non-NRC-originated publications may not be available for inspection and copying at the NRC PDR. However, copies of these non-NRC publications may be available at public reference libraries, direct from the originating agency, or from the National Technical Information Service, Springfield, VA 22161.

Concerning category 7, refer to the PDR records listed on Appendix F. ,

Two additional records are under review, and we will inform you later as to their disposition.
