NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-346/98020(DRS)
Dear Mr. Wood-
On November 20,1998, the NRC completed an inspection at your Davis-Besse Nuclear Power
Station. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
During the 1-week period covered by this inspection period, your implementation of the licensed
operator requalification program was generally characterized by safety conscious operations
and sound evaluation of licensed operator performance. The inspectors determined that your
licensed operator requalification program was being implemented in accordance with 10 CFR Part 55 requirements.
The inspectors conducted a brief observation of control room activities and determined
operators were knowledgeable of equipment status and effectively communicated plant
conditions.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.700 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and the
enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
