Licensing Action Estimates for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Through ,

Fiscal Year 2001 l I

Ladies and Gentlemen:  ;

The FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) is the operator and a licensee of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS), Unit Number 1. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Administrative Letter 99-02," Operating Reactor Licensing Action Estimates," dated June 3,1999, requested licensees to provide, on a voluntary basis, simple numerical estimates of the number of future new licensing action requests expected to be submitted to the NRC in Fiscal Years (FY) 2000 and 2001. These estimates are to be used by the NRC in planning adequate review resources.

By letters dated May 27,1998 (Serial Number 2539), October 28,1998 (Serial Number 2566), and May 28,1999 (Serial Number 2598), the DBNPS provided the NRC with its estimated future licensing action requests through September 30,2000. In the attachment to this letter, the DBNPS is updating its estimated information for licensing action requests through September 30,2001.

Should you have any questions or require additional information, please contact Mr. James L Freels, Manager - Regulatory Affairs, at (419) 321-8466.

Very truly yours,
