Reissue of Snecial Reoort Limiting condition for Operation (LCO) 3.7.9 of the Trojan.

Technical Specifications (TTS) requires submittal of a Special Report if a 3-hour fire barrier is nonfunctional for greater than seven days. The fire barrier in the area described below was declared inoperable on the date indicated and remained inoperable for greater than seven days.

1. West Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) ceiling. Fireproofing for structural steel, supporting the ceiling, was removed on 7 July 1989 for construction. Additional HVAC ductwork seismic supports are being installed, necessitating the removal of the fireproofing. The fireproofing was restored as of 25 July 1989.

2. East Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) ceiling. Fireproofing for structural steel, supporting the ceiling, was removed on 7 July 1989 for construction. Additional HVAC ductwork seismic supports are being installed, necessitating the removal of the fireproofing. The fireproofing was restored as of 25 July 1989.

The compensatory measures of Technical Specification 3.7.9 (checking local smoke detectors and establishing an hourly fire patrol) were established as required.
