Special Report 1.
Limiting Condition for Operation (LCO) 3.7.9 of the Trojan Technical Specifications (TTS) requires submittal of a Special Report within 30 days if a 3-hour fire barrier is nonfunctional for greater than seven days.
On September 8, 1989.the West Emergency Diesel Generator Alternate Air Damper VX-103 (Fire Damper 380) was declared inoperable for fire protection purposes because no U.L.
label or vendor marking can be found on the unit and vendor prints are not available to confirm the rating of the damper.
An NCR has been initiated to address corrective action.
It is expected that this damper will be operable by December 31, 1989.
The compensatory measure of Technical Specifications 3.7.9 (establishing an hourly fire patrol to inspect the affected areas) were established as required and continue.
