20555 Gentlemen Special Re, port The purpose of thin report is to fulfill the recluirement of Limiting Condition for Operation (LCO) 3.3.3.7. of the Trojan Technical Specifications (TS) which states that a Special Report must be submitted if one or more of the fire detection instruments (shown in TS Table 3.3-10) are found inoperable.

During a review of test data sheets on June 11, 1987, fire detectors U127 (Zone indicating unit 6- #13, zone 1) and U128 (zone indicating unit 6-#13, zone 2) were found inoperable.

Fire detectors U127 and U128 are located in the Residual lleat Removal and Safety Injection Pump rooms in the Auxiliary Building at the five foot elevation.

Compensatory Ire.asures described in TO 3.3.3.7, (within one hour establish a fire watch patrol to inspect the zone (s) with the inoperable instrument (s)], were fulfilled on June 11,-1987.

The estimated completion date for repair and return to service is July 31, 1987.
