20555 Gentlemen:
Special Report Limiting Condition for Operation (LCO) 3.7.9 of the Trojan Technical Specifications (TTS) requires submittal of a Special Report if a 3-hour fire barrier is nonfunctional for greater than seven days.
Fire barriers in the areas described below were declared inoperable on the dates indicated and remained inoperable for greater than seven days.
The barriers were degraded in order to support the indicated maintenance work in each area or as otherwise stated.
1.
Door No. 63 - P-250 Computer Room (77' Control Building)
Declared inoperable on April 13, 1989.
Ventilation Repairs - Door No. 63 was opened for environmental' cooling of room equipment during
'B' train maintenance of the service water system.
Door No. 63 is expected to be operable by May 10, 1989, i
2.
Door No. 181 - Pipe penetration access (45' Auxiliary Building)
Daclared inoperable on April 11, 1989.
Hoses were placed through Door No. 181 to support sludge lancing of four steam generators during the 1989 outage.
Door No. 181 was declared operable on April 21, 1989.
3.
Penetration No. 2998B - Emergency Diesel Generator
'B' exhaust stacks (69' Turbine Building)
Declared inoperable on April 22, 1989.
Bisco Fire. Seal Boot was removed during snubber inspection during the 1989 outage.
Penetration No. 2998B is expected to be operable by May 31, 1989.
