On July 29, 1987, door number 64 was-determined j
to_be nonfunctional for greaterLthan seven days and'on July I
30, 1987, door number 45 was also determined to be nonfunctional

for greater than seven days.
J During routine inspections, door 64 which; separates the cable spreading room from the clean corridor in.the Control Building (elevation 77' feet), and door 45 which separates the "B"
i electrical auxiliary roomLfrom the clean corridor in_the Control Building (elevation 61 feet), were discovered to have a metal panel welded.to one side of the door.
The-welding of these metal panels to the doors deviates from the Underwriters Labora-tory (UL) listing.
Since it is not known exactly when these doors became non--
functional, it is assumed they were nonfunctional for< greater than seven days.
Compensatory measures described in Technical Specification 3.7.9 (hourly fire patrol established and verifica-tion, of smoke detector operability) were fulfilled on July 29, 1987 for door 64 and July 30, 1987 for door 45.
The estimated completion date for repair and return to. service is December 30, 1987.
