CORRECTIONS TO SAFETY EVALUATION FOR PREVIOUSLY ISSUED AMENDMENT NOS. 221 AND 226 FOR PEACH BOTTOM ATOMIC POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3 (TAC NOS. M98910 AND M98911)

Dear Mr. Edwards:

I By letter dated October 24,1997, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendments Nos. 221 and 226 to the facility operating licenses Nos. DPR-44 and DPR-56 for the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3, approving changes to the Technical Specifications related to emergency diesel generators surveillance requirements (SR).

Page 1 of the safety evaluation supporting the Amendments has been found to have three typographical errors, which we wish to correct as follows.

Under the introduction, in paragraph 2 at line 2, replace <SR 3.8.2.12> with <SR 3.8.1.12>.

Under the introduction, in paragraph 3 at line 3, replace <are required > with <are not j required >.

Under the evaluation, in paragraph 1 at line 7, replace <SR 3.8.2.12> with <SR 3.8.1.12>.
