Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-13 File 0260/L-835.0 Standby Fresh Air Fan Failed to Actuate LER 83-056/03 L-0 AECM-83/0227 On March 18, 1983, while conducting a planned maintenance activity, two relays in the process radiation monitoring system were deenergized.
Decnergizing the relays should have activated a Control Room HVAC relay which shifts the Control Room HVAC to the Standby Fresh Air Mode of Operation. The Standby Fresh Air fan did not actuate. A Liniting Condition for Operation was entered in accordance with Technical Specification 3.7.2. The event is being reported pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.1.13.b.
