s Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1 -

Docket No. 50-289 L . cense No. DPR-50 Technical Specification Change Request No.16 Attached are three signed originals and thirty-seven conformed copies of Technical Specification Change Request No.16, requesting amendment to Appendix B of Operating License No. DPR-50. As a part of this request, proposed replacement pages for Appendix B are also attached.

Also attached is one signed copy of a Certificate of Service of Technical Specification Chann Request No.16 to the chief executives of the township and county in which the f acility is located.

As Change Requests 16.3, 16.4, 16.5, and 15.6 involve change of sample location and associated moving of equipment, it is requested that these changes be implemented not more than 90 days after the date of Technical Specification Change issuance. The actual moving can be accomplished in a short enough period of time to insure that the equipment is out of service for not more than seven days. This is within acceptable limits as is noted in 4.4 (page 57) of the Environmental Technical Specifications which states, " Weekly samples :nay be missed in the event of adverse conditions such as... equipment f ailure , etc."
