C.            20555 Gentlement goecial Reoort Trojan Technical Specification (TTS) Limiting condition for operation (LCO) 3.7.8.1, "Fire Suppression Water System," requires submittal of a Special Report if one fire pump is inoperable for more than seven days.      The diesel fire pump was taken out of service on September 13, 1988, for complete disassembly and inspection.              The pump was removed from service becausa it was incapable of developing a flow rate of 3000 gallons per minute (gpm) as required by the National Fire Protection Association code. During a recent test, the diesel fire pump developed a maximum flow rate of approximately 2700 gpm. The TTS minimum required flow rate of 2000 gpm was satisfied.
It is expected that the diesel fire pump will be restored to service by approximately October 31, 1988. As a compensatory measure to provide for the loss of redundancy in the fire protection system, a mobile fire tanker pump was obtained from the Rainier Fire Department and aligned to the circulating water system.              In addition, the electric fire pump is operable.
