Dear Mr. Clark:

My last correspondence with you on July 2?, 1981, re-quested a set of documents related to.the Coalition's Show Cause petition filed with the NRC on the environ-mental quali fication of safety-related equi pment at the Trojan plant.

A copy is enclosed.

I have not heard from you in response to this letter and am writing now to clarify our position lest it be mis-understood.

Although the Director of Reactor Rerulation has made a rulinc apsinst the petition, our request for the documents still stands.

It is clear that the entire matter of equipment qualification - electrical and mecha-nical - remains unsettled and will, by Portland General Electric's own admission r.ot be resolved by the July 1, 1982 date.

For this reason, the documents we should have received from the date of filing of the petition in 1979 until the present, are still important to us.

A timely reply to our request would be appreciated.
