Last year thousands of energy users in the Pacific Ncrthwest area were cencerned with the shortage of water power.
Now, many of us are observing with concern the idling of POE Trojan reactor pcuer plant.
!!any of us feel it is not necessary to shut down Troian because of potential structural problems in the control building because control of the reactor is still possible in event of the " earthquake" affecting centrol building walls. Also, another auxiliary centrol building can be put into use immediately. We also believe the Anti-Nuke protestors are in a minority.
The idling of the Trojan plant has a ripple affect en the ecenemy of this area and during certain periods its availability would be critical.
We ask that we may express our epinions at the October 26th hearing in Portland,and any other hearings.
