Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-416 and 50-417 File 0260/0277/L-860.0/0755 Transmittal of GGNS Emergency Response Facility Descriptive Information AECM-81/52 In a meeting with members of the NRC staff on October 20, 1980, Mississippi Power & Light Company discussed, among other thitgs, its plan for ungrading and providing emergency response facilities at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS). We were requested at that ' time to provide more details in a written submittal. Accordingly, we la /e prepared the enclosed design specification / description for the GGNS Emergency Response Facility Information System (ERFIS), Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS), Technical Support Center (TSC), and Operational Support Center (OSC). This work is based on NUREG-0696, draft report for interim use and comment dated July, 1980. We are aware that NUREG-0696 is currently being revised, and when it is issued, MP&L will review it and revise our plans for emergency response facilities l appropriately.
