NRC Region I Letter dated June 27, 1980 RE: IE Bulletin No. 80-16 " Potential Misapplication of Rosemount, Inc. Models 1151 and 1152 Pressure Transmitters With Either "A" or "D" Output Codes" Limerick 'enerating Station Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-352 and 50-353 File: GOVT 1-1 (IE Bulletin 80-16)

Dear Mr. Grier:

Rosemount Transmitters w.'.th output codes identified in the subject IE Bulletin have been installed in NSSS Safety Related Equipment at Limerick Generating Station.

We request an extension of time for our response to the subject bulletin because General Electric is unable to provide us information in time to prepare a complete response within the 60 day time limit.

A copy of this bulletin has been sent to GE, the NSSS designer /

supplier, requesting their review and response to the actions listed in the bulletin. GE is working to provide a schedule for their response to the subj ect bulletin for the various owners of approximately 30 units. They anticipate that this schedule will be available September 5, 1980.

We will inform you about September 12, 1980 of Philadelphia Electric Company's schedule for responding to IE Bulletin 80-16.
