I This letter is in response to a conference call bet *;<en PECO Energy Company (PECO) and U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC) staff on April 20,1999, concerning Technical Specifications Change Request No. 98-07 2. This change request was submitted to the USNRC on March 11,1999 (letter from G.D. Edwards (PECO) to USNRC) and will revise Technical Specifications Section 2.0 to incorporate revined Minimum Critical Power Ratlo (MCPR) Safety Limits due to the use of cycle specific analysia performed by General Electric Nuclear Energy (GENE) for Limerick Generating Station, Unit 2, Cycle 6.
The attached letter from J. A. Baumgartner (GENE) to J. M. Carmody (PECO), dated April 21, 1999, contains the information requested during the April 20,1999, conference call. This letter confirms that the Limerick Generating Station Unit 2, Cycle 6 specific MCPR Safety Limits were calculated using tne methodology defined in Amendment 25 to GESTAR 11, approved March 11, 1999 and the R-factor Calculation Method for GE11, GE12 and GE13 Fuel, approved January 11, 1999. This information does not affect the No Significant Hazards Determination provided in our March 11,1999, submittal. This information is being submitted under affirmation, and the required affidavit is enclosed.
