Limerick Generating Station, Unit 1 Technical Specification Change Request No. 90-11-1 Request for Withdrawal Gentlemen:
Our letter dated May 16, 1990, submitted Technical Specifications Change Request No. 90-11-1 requesting a change to the Technical Specifications (TS) Surveillance Requirement 4.7.4b to allow a one-time extension of the snubber visual inspection period. Since the current inspection period plus the l250 grace period expires on July 14, 1990, the proposed change was needed to
-avoid a. shutdown of Unit 1 prior-to the scheduled refueling outage in September 1990, in order to perform the required reduced interval visual inspection of--
4three snubbers located in the drywell.
The proposed change is no longer needed since Unit I was shutdown on June 5.'1990, and the visual inspection of the three affected snubbers has subsequently been performed on June 7, 1990, within the required surveillance
. interval, and the acceptance criteria were satisfied. Accordingly, we request that'our TS Change Request No. 90-11 1 submitted by our letter dated May 16, 1990,;be w1thdrawn.
