Answer: The results of the stress analyses for deadweight, thermal and seismic stress are attached. No fatigue analysis was performed.

Fabrication History

i Answer: Gilbert Associates line specification 900-1 attached, lists the materials used in the feedvater piping between the penetration and feed-vater header.

j 2. Provide the details of the velding process (es) used to make the nozzle-to-pipe, pipe to sparger and piping velds.

Answer: Details of the velding procedure used in the field to make the piping velds and pipe to header velds are listed in Table II. Weld joint configuration is detailed in Gilbert Associates, Inc. drawing no. D-301-001, Figure 3, which is attached.

DetLils of the feedvater he,ader and no::le velds procedures are being assenbled by Babcock and Wilcox and vill be supplied by July 27,1979 as requested in the NEC letter. Joint designs are shown on the previously referenced B&W drawings and are su--arized in Table III.

3 Provide the NDE perfor=ed during and after fabrication of the veld seints requested in question 2.

? Answer: The NDE requirements for these velds are summarized in Table IV.

Ansver: The feedvater piping for TMI-1 was designed and erected in accordance with USAS B31.1, Power Piping.
