Summary of Entergy Drop-in Visit On December 19, 2012, Mr. John Ventosa, Indian Point Site Vice President, Mr. Larry Coyle, Plant Manager, Mr. Pat Conroy, Nuclear Safety Assurance Director, Mr. Bob Walpole, Licensing Manager, and Mr. Mark Woodby, Engineering Director, all representing Entergy Nuclear, met with the Regional Administrator and members of the Region I staff at the NRC offices in King of Prussia, PA. Entergy requested the meeting to provide a general update on the status of Indian Point.

During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:

1. Plant performance summary

2. Status of spent fuel activities at Indian Point Units 2 and 3

3. The decision making process and expectations for personnel

4. Status of fire protection systems modifications to address operator manual actions

5. Status of post Fukushima actions

6. Flex - an industry initiative developed to implement the NRCs Fukushima task force recommendations

7. Status of license renewal commitments and potential entry into the Period of Extended Operations

8. IPEC Management Changes

9. Security improvements

10. Stakeholder relationships The meeting began at 10:00 a.m. and ended at 12:15 p.m. No regulatory decisions were requested or made during the meeting and there were no commitments for any follow-up actions on the part of Region. The slides used by Entergy to conduct the briefing are enclosed with this memorandum.
