SUMMARY
OF PUBLIC MEETING On May 20, 2015, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) met with members of the public at the Westchester Marriott, Tarrytown, NY, to discuss the NRCs assessment of safety performance at Indian Point Units 2 and 3 for calendar year 2014.
The NRC made a presentation on the safety performance for Indian Point Units 2 and 3 for calendar year 2014. Following the presentation, the NRC held a question and answer session, during which interested stakeholders were able to ask questions or make statements in a public forum.
Approximately 350 people attended the meeting, including representatives of federal, state, and local governments. During the question and answer session, individuals requested time to either make a statement or ask a question related to NRC oversight of Indian Point Units 2 and 3. Following the question and answer session, NRC personnel were available to speak individually with stakeholders.
