OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL HELD ON APRIL 1, 2015, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND ENTERGY NUCLEAR OPERATIONS, INC., CONCERNING THE INDIAN POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING UNIT NOS. 2 AND 3 LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW (TAC NOS. MD5411 AND MD5412)
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and a representative of Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy), held a telephone conference call on April 1, 2015, concerning the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3 (IP2 and IP3) license renewal application environmental review. By letter dated May 6, 2013, Entergy stated its intent to implement severe accident mitigation alternatives (SAMAs) IP3-053 by April 30, 2014, and IP2 and IP3 main steam system safety valve gagging devices by August 31, 2014. During the telephone conference call, Entergy confirmed that those three SAMAs have been implemented.
Additionally, Entergy confirmed that IP3-052 had been implemented, as is stated in its May 6, 2013, letter.
