We have completed our review of the Public Service Electric & Gas Ccmpany request, as discussed in your letter dated July 2,1985, for authorization to

, adopt the provisions of NB-3600 in the 1977 Edition through the Sumer 1979 Addenda of Section III-of the ASitE Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (the Code) for Class 1 piping; NB-3650 in the 1980 Edition through the Winter 1981 Addenda of the Code for Control Rod Drive (Class 2) piping; and, f;C-3658 and hD-3658 in the 1977 Edition through the Summer 1979 Addenda of the Code for Clast 2 and Class 3 flanges respectively. The code of Record for Hope Creek 's ASME Section III, 1974 Edition through the Winter 1974 Addenda to the iode.

The Code Editions and Addenda identified above have been approved for use in the Codes and Standards Rule 10 CFR 50.55a. We find the use of the provisions of these Code Editions and Addenda to be acceptable at Hope Creek provided all related provisions of the Code are adhered to.
