The following item represents the commitment that PSE&G is making to the NRC relative to LER 354/99-007-00:
- 1. The battery charging procedure will be revised to clarify the steps concerning the use of fuse protection while charging operable, Class-1E batteries. Training on the revised procedure will be provided to appropriate Maintenance Department personnel by August 31,1999.
- 2. Personnel involved in this event will be held accountable for inappropriate actions in accordance with PSE&G procedures and policies by July 31,1999.
- 3. The details of this event, including lessons learned, will be rolled out to appropriate Maintenance Department personnel by August 31,1999.
