This letter refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by
Mr. R. A. McBrearty of this office on February 6-10, 1989 at the Hope Creek
'
Generating Station in Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey. Mr. McBrearty discussed the
results of the inspection with Mr. J. Nichols of your staff at the conclusion
of the inspection.
'
This inspection focused on inservice inspection activities. Areas examined
during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which
is enplosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of
selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews
with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
