Subject: NRC Inspection Report No. 50-354/89-05
A routine radiological controls inspection was conducted by Mr. R. L. Nimitz
during the eriod February 27 - March 3, 1989. The inspection was a review of
the radiolo ical controls program during the mid-cycle outage. Areas reviewed
during the nspection are described in the enclosed report. The findings of the
inspection were discussed with Mr. J. Hagan on March 3,1989.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified by the
inspector. Overall radiological controls for the outage were effective. One
apparent violation of radiation 3rotection procedures identified by your staff
was reviewed relative to 10 CFR ) art 2 criteria for non-issuance of a Notice of
Violation. You satisfied the requirements of 10 CFR Part 2 for non-issuance of
a Notice of Violation, however, the long term corrective action for this
apparent violation will be reviewed during a subsequent inspection.
