AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR A CHANGE TO THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR THE PURGE AND VENT LINE OPENING LIMITS By letters dated September 17, 1982, July 1, 1983, and September 22, 1983, the Tennessee Valley Authority proposed certain changes to the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units' I and 2, Technical Specifications for the purge and vent line opening limits. The proposed change would permit an increase in the flow rate of ' air purged from the containment during normal operation.

The staff has-reviewed these proposed changes to the Technical Specification and has determined that the changes are unacceptable. The basis for this finding is detailed in the enclosed safety evaluation.
