TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY SUPPORT DURING SEQUOYAH EMERGENCY EXERCISE -
Dear Mr. Adney:
The purpose of this letter is to thank you for all of the support that the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) provided the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) during the recent Sequoyah Emergency Exercise. The exercise was one of the largest NRC participation exercises in several years because of the involvement of the NRC Chairman, NRC Headquarters, NRC Region ll and a large number of international visitors from three foreign countries. We realize that this large participation and the international visitors created many additional efforts by your agency. We are very appreciative all of the support from Mr. Ronnie Kitts and the TVA Corporate Emergency Preparedness Staff and Mr. Mike Munroe and the Sequoyah Emergency Preparedness Staff.
All of the foreign visitors have expressed their appreciation for a very informative and interesting visit to TVA. They were especially appreciative of the time you personally devoted to them, for the TVA briefings, and the time that the TVA staff members provided at each of the TVA emergency facilities.
Again, we appreciate all of the TVA efforts to make the Sequoyah Emergency Exercise and the international visitors' trip most successful.
