Pursuant to this Technical Specification, LaSalle submitted the Special Report and subsequent plan to address installing the new seismic monitoring equipment.

The reference letter stated that the new seismic monitor would be installed per the design change package, tested and placed in service by February 28,1997. It wili' not be possible to complete installation by February 28,1997, due to problems discovered during installation of the new ,

The new seismic monitor equipment was installed on February 18,1997. At that time, it was discovered that there were dimensional incompatibilities between the existing and new equipment. Resolution will require orJering new equipment panels with a lead time of 8-10 weeks. Installation and testing will require an additional 4-6 weeks.
