C. UNIQUE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS FOR UNIT ONE

1. Challenges other than routine surveillance testing to Safety / Relief Valve Operations--None
2. Major Changes to Radioactive Waste Treatment System--None
3. Off-Site Dose Calculation Manual Changes:

The following changes were made to the Site Specific Off-Site Dose Calculation Manual in April 1998:

Several editorial changes were made, i.e. page renumbering, typographical error correction, etc.

Revised methodology for establishing the Off-Gas Retreatment Radiation Monitor setpoints in section 10.1.3.1.2 to be in compliance with Technical Specification ammendment #115. The High Alarm will be established at 1.5 times background, and the High-High Alarm will be established in the manner in which the High Alarm was established prior to the ammendment, in accordance with Tech Spec 3.11.2.2.

Revised section 10.2.4 to clarify that the allocation of effluents from common release points will be e

attributed equally, on half for Unit 1 and one half for Unit 2. This change is made to reflect the fact that Radwaste cannot accurately determine which unit contributed the liquid waste.

Clarified the requirements for food product sampling to reflect the fact that food samples may not be available in each of the four major quadrants.

Clarified applicability statement in section 12.2.1.A to "At all times, when flow is present in the system" Added note to tables 12.2.1-1 and 12.2.2-1 stating the requirements for actions 101 and 110-112 if the e

condition exceeds 30 days.

Added wording to the Bases for section 12.3.3, allowing bypass of radwaste system to reflect the use of the portable waste treatment equipment.

Ammended actions in sections 12.4.2.A and 12.4.3.A to reference appropriate reporting requirements in 10 CFR 50.

Added qualifying statement to vegetation sampling requirements in table 12.5-1. Vegetation is to be sampled when available.

Changed tritium low level detection value for water in table 12.-5.3 from 200 to 2000 picocurries per liter to be consistent with Generic Letter 89-01 requirements.

Added a note to table 12.5-3 stating that the low level detection value for tritium in water is 200 pico-curries per liter for off-site analyses.
