Technicsi SpecNication 3.7.6 requires that all fire rated assemblies and aN sealing devices in fire rated assemblies (fire doors, fire windows, fire dampers, cable and piping penetration seals and ventuation seals) separating portions of redundant systems important to safe shutdown within a fire area shaN be operable at all times.

On February 27,1995, at 0830 hours0.00961 days <br />0.231 hours <br />0.00137 weeks <br />3.15815e-4 months <br />, Fire Door 615 was inoperable for a period greater than seven days. The door was opened to support Unit 2 Refueling Outage maintenance .

and survoulence activities performed on Foodwater and Reactor Recirculation System Panels 2H13-P612 and 2H13-P634.

Fire Door 615 is located in the waN which separates Fire Subzones 4E2-1 and 4E2-2 in the ,

Unit 2 Auxiliary Building on elevation 731'. Door 615 was opened to allow access to panels  !

2H13-P612 and 2H13-P634. When work is not being performed on the panels, Door 615 is closed. -i An Houriy Fire Watch was established in'accordance with the Action Statement of '

Technical SpecNication 3.7.6 and will remain in effect until au work is complete on panels  ;

2H13-P612 and 2H13-P634. Work on these panels is not expected to be completed until  :

the end of the current refuehng ou%ge (late April,1995).

A Special Report is required because the door was not restored to an operable status within seven days. Door 615 will not be considered operable until all work is completed on the panels, the Hourly Fire Watch is terminated, and the Fire impairment is permanenty cleared.
