SUMMARY
The Unit retumed to service on August 8,1998 following startup activities which began on August 1,1998. In accordance with normal soft shutdown procedures, a manual Scram was inserted during startup activities to allow repairs to be effected on inoperable Intermediate Range Monitors in order to avoid normal operation in a i
half Scram configuration. While shutdown, repairs were also made to the RCIC 19 and Throttle Valve and the 'A' Reactor Water Recirculation Flow Control Valve position indication feedback loop. Startup activities -
were resumed on August 7,1998, and the generator was placed on-line at 12:40 on August 12,1998, j
A Manual Scram was inserted on~ August 19,1998 at 58% power due to increasing Reactor Water Level while placing the 'A' Turbine Driven Reactor Feedpump on-line during power ascension. Following replacement of c f:iled Flow Controller Card in the Reactor Water Level Control System, operation was resumed on August 20,11998. The generator was piaced on-line at 19:56 on August 21,1998, and the unit achieved full power operation on August 26,1998.
