On August 15, 1993 at 2300 hours0.0266 days <br />0.639 hours <br />0.0038 weeks <br />8.7515e-4 months <br />, the 1B Diesel Generator Room Carbon Dioxide System (which is installed in Fire Hazard Zone 7B1) exceeded its 14 day timeclock because the system was taken out of service to support maintenance work on the associated Carbon Dioxide Control Panel OC003JA.
This work was performed in accordance with Work Request No. L20337 which was written due to receipt of trouble lights at the IB Diesel Generator Room Carbon Dioxide System Control Panel OC003]A.
In accordance with the first Action Statement of Technical Specification 3.7.5.3, an Hourly Fire Hatch was established to inspect the affected Fire Hazard Zone during the time that the Carbon Dioxide System was inoperable.
A Special Report is required because the problem could not be corrected prior to exceeding the 14 day time clock.
The problem was corrected and the Carbon Dioxide System was returned to service on August 25, 1993.
