20555 This special report is submitted in accordance with LaSalle Unit 1 and 2 Operating Ucenses NPF-11 and NPF-18, Appendix A, and Technical SpeciAcations 3.7.6 and 6.6.c.
Technical Speci8 cation 3.7.6 requires that au Are rated assemblies and all sealing devices in Are rated assembles (Are doors, Are windows, Are dampois, cable and piping penetration seals and ventilation seals) separating portions of redundant systems important to safe shutdown within a Are area, shall be operable at aN times.
On March 12,1995, at 1810 hours0.0209 days <br />0.503 hours <br />0.00299 weeks <br />6.88705e-4 months <br />, Fire Door 393 was inoperable for a period greater than seven days. The door was opened to allow hoses to pass through the door to support the Chemical Decontamination of the Residual Heat Removal and Reactor Recirculation Systems during the Unit 2 RefueEng Outage Fire Door 393 separates Unit 1 Reactor Building Fire Zone 2G from Unit 2 Reactor Building Fire Zone 3G on elevation 710'6". An Hourly Fire Watch was estabushed in accordance with the Action Statement of Technical Speci8 cation 3.7.6 to inspect the area while the door was open. Door 393 was retumed to an operable status on March 22,1995, at 0900 hours0.0104 days <br />0.25 hours <br />0.00149 weeks <br />3.4245e-4 months <br /> A Special Report is required because the door was not restored to an OPERABLE status within 7 days.
