Technical Specihcahon 3.7.6 requires that aN fire rated assemblies and aN sealing devices in fire rated assemblies (fire doors, fire windows, fire dampers, cable and piping penetration seals, and ventilation seals), separating portions of redundant systems important to sale shutdown within a fire area, shen be operable at aN times. On February 20,1995, at 1415 hours0.0164 days <br />0.393 hours <br />0.00234 weeks <br />5.384075e-4 months <br />, Fire Door 406 was inoperable for a period greater than seven days. The door was opened to support activities pi,Tr4 during he Unit 2 Refueling Outage.
i Fire Door 406 separates Unit 1 Fire Zone 2F on elevation 740' of the Reactor Building from Unit 2 Fire Zone 3F on olevation 740' of the Reactor Building. During he Unit 2 Refueling Outage, Fire Door 406 is the only entrance into the Unit 2 DryweN area. All personnel entering, and any equipment being taken into, the Unit 2 DryweN area must pass through this door. The amount of traffic and equipment pasang through his door during the Refueling Outage is such that he door is being left open as a matter of prudency.
An hourly Fire Watch was established in accordance with the Action Statement of Technical Specification 3.7.6 and vill remain in effect untN the door is closed at the end of the Unit 2 Refueling Outage.
