..~ dieatring w.w in Midland on March 29 but like many other 5IdEhd residents our family will be out of town since it is public school vacation. As you weigh;the comments made that day you should remember that others who would speak are unable to attend.

In my 50 years of life I have lived in many communities but have been fortunate to have lived in Midland for.16 years of the total. Never have I seen a community with so many pluses for it's citizens...

who ,on the average, are some of the best educated and highest family income per capita in the nation.

To me these education and income factors indicate that the people involved want to make sure that they live in a community conducive to their health. For that reason the community leaders all through the years have been very concerned that this be a safe and healthy environment. I don't believe that our citizens would sit still if " things weren't right". To my knowledge

, the vast majority of the area residents are very content l with the idea of having a Midland Nuclear Plant. There are a few people unhappy but I've never seen a situation l where 100% are pleased. The only way I know to be 100%

safe is live in a cave and never come out...and that may not be a foolproof solution.
